SNWPaul, once given by our webmiss Rosana. Just a name I can use on Simsnetwork and on the Dutch Simsnetwerk.
But who am I?
Considering the average age of the teammembers, I think I can call myself one of the oldest. This year I elebrate my 47th birthday, so I think I am going to be an old Sims-fanatic.
In 2004 I accidently landed on Simsnetwork, and never left it. I applied for a forum-job and became moderator. Only a few years ago, Rosana asked me to become Forum-administrator. And, although we never met (only on Messenger systems), I was astonished by this trust and … accepted.
When Spore became “the new game in town” Rosana asked me to become Forum Administrator on Sporenetwork, a new SNW Forum. I accepted, some months later, with a big change for SNW in sight, I also became an Admin on the Dutch Simsnetwerk.
About me, that’s telling who I am.
So a little bit personal stuff is in order. My age you already know. I live in Haarlem, The Netherlands. I am married and I am very lucky to have three children. One boy (age 19) and two girls (age 18 and 11).
I’m working for the Salvation Army in my hometown. I’m a social worker on a nightshelter for homeless people.
My greatest hobby is my computer. Since the first homePC I bought in 1986, until now, I saw the uprising of Microsoft, the first colored games. Never had a lesson, everything I knew (and know now) I learned myself.
And so I became a dedicated Sims-fanatic. And I still am. The Sims and all the sequels, followed by The Sims 2. At first, not so happy about it, but nowadays I can’t live without it.
Nowadays I’m, most of the time, busy with creating Sporecreatures, exploring Spore Space. The Sims 2 is still my number One, but Spore is getting in the way…. ![]()
And … besides SNW, I registrated a new domain, Sims2008. Now almost two year online, with some downloads, but my server space is most of the time used for pictures etc for use on other sites.
